Brent Josephson
Brent is responsible for acquisitions, asset management, and capital markets activities at Birch Tree Real Estate. With over 15 years of real estate investment experience, Brent has allocated over $1 billion of capital to real estate funds, invested $300 million+ of bridge capital and acquired and operated more than 2,300 apartment units valued in excess of $400 million across the Southwestern US.
Brent holds a BBA in Finance and Real Estate from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, where he was also a member of the Men’s Golf Team. He earned his MBA in Finance and Real Estate from UCLA Anderson.

Jeffrey Assaf | Strategic Advisor
J. Jeffrey Assaf is a Strategic Advisor for Birch Tree Real Estate. Jeff is a Senior Managing Director as well as the Co-Chief Investment Officer and Investment Committee Chairman of ICG Advisors, an $8+ billion independent investment management firm. Mr. Assaf has invested in real estate for 30+ years. He is a graduate of University of California, Irvine (B.A., Psychology) and University of Southern California (M.B.A., Emphasis in Finance). Mr. Assaf serves on the Boards of Directors for several non-profit organizations.
